Overview:
NeLSA Annual conference of Nepalese Law Students; a premier event for the Nepalese Law Students. The Conference entailed participation of more than 250 Nepalese Law students from within Nepal and abroad along with the participation of law professors ,judges ,lawyers, etc. The conference was held in Kathmandu, Nepal for 2 days i.e. March 5th-6th, 2010.
Activities of the Conference:

Table Discussions and Framing of Legal Education Policy and Concerns of the Law Students.

Nepal Legal Education Council Meetings.

General Assembly of the NeLSA after the Closing Ceremony for elections of new national representative of law students.

1. Plenary Sessions
The subject matter for the plenary discussion covered issues like;
Plenary Sessions Discussions with Special Focus on Discussions on the Draft Constitution.

The Legal Dimensions of the Climate Change in Nepalese Context.

Access of the Marginalized Communities of Nepal in Legal Education.

2. Law Students Competition
The Finals Rounds of the Law Students Competition like;
a. National Level Moot Court Competition.
b. Parliamentary Debate/ National Law Students Debate Competition.
c. Law Reform Competitions. (Along with presentation by the best researchers.)
d. Legal Writing Competition ( Awards Distribution)
3. Nepalese Legal Education Forum (NLEF)
The Nepalese Legal Education Forum (NLEF) is the unique initiative of the NeLSA where the different stakeholders of the legal education would present and discuss on the status of legal education of Nepal.This Forum would comprise of representatives of Nepal Bar Council , University Represenatives (Faculty of Dean) , University Grants Commission of Nepal , Represenattives of Ministry of Law and Justice,Law Professors , Reprsenatives of Nepal bar Council , Parliamentarians, Members of Law student Bodies and law students.
4. Table Discussions
A group of law students would discuss on different issues of concern and come up with some concrete recommendations.
5. Award Distribution
a. Best Academic Excellence Award (to the Student)
b. Emerging Lawyer of the Year ( Topper of the Bar Council License Exam)
c. Lifetime Contribution Award (To the person who have outstandingly contributed to the legal sector of Nepal)
d. Felicitations to the Law Professor ( or Lecturer) who have a significant contribution to the legal education and as a law teaching.
