COLLEGE CHAPTERS

Introduction

To function as the national representative body of NeLSA and for building a network of Nepalese Law Students, the notion of college chapters of NeLSA has been established. The mandate of establishing college chapters of NeLSA in the national and international law schools is provided by the Constitution of NeLSA.

The College Chapters forms as the independent entity and which basically works to form a bridge between the Nepalese law students and the NeLSA and establish worldwide network programs. The college chapters can develop and implement their own programs which targets for the accomplishment of the NeLSA’s objectives.

As per the constitution of NeLSA, a college chapter of NeLSA consists of at least three enrolled students and lead by the Chapter President. The chapter consists of on faculty advisor of the respective college.

Procedure of Establishment of College Chapters of NeLSA.

To establish the college chapter within Nepal, the college chapters are established with the coordination of the NeLSA executive committee and the interested law students of the respective colleges. The registration and establishment of the college chapters is done in accordance to the guidelines developed by the NeLSA Central Executive Committee decision.

To establish the college chapter outside Nepal, the interested Nepalese law students (at least) enrolled in the international law schools to establish the NeLSA chapters in their law colleges need to communicate with us by email regarding their interest, purpose and name list of interested Nepalese law students and thereafter the Chapter Registration Form would be provided by us. Upon the submission of the registration form, the Chapter would be said to be constituted in the respective law school.
